L'analisi del discorso multimodale come metodo di ricerca-azione per l'educazione ai media: un caso pratico di studio

La Media Education è cruciale nell’era digitale, ma gli interventi formativi sono spesso frammentari e inefficaci. Questo articolo presenta un nuovo approccio alla Media Education che adotta l’analisi del discorso multimodale (ADM) come strumento di ricerca-azione nelle scuole. In particolare, l’articolo descrive gli obiettivi, le metodologie e i risultati di un progetto di PCTO intitolato “Media Education e cittadinanza attiva 4.0,” svolto tra il 2021 e il 2024 con 200 studenti delle scuole superiori. Il presente contributo illustra come questa metodologia sia stata utilizzata per analizzare il discorso sul cambiamento climatico nei media, presentato come caso di studio. I risultati mostrano che, sebbene molti studenti riproducano il frame mediatico allarmistico tipico del discorso multimodale sul cambiamento climatico, l’ADM ha permesso loro di elaborare analiticamente le strategie comunicative e creare rappresentazioni alternative. Nonostante la necessità di un metalinguaggio più accessibile, i risultati confermano l’efficacia dell’ADM nelle pratiche di Media Education.
