Call for Papers 2/2024 - Deadline extended!
ENGLISH:
That style is a core aspect of any cultural artefact has been widely commented on, placing it at the centre of attention of several disciplines, ranging from Cultural Studies to Linguistics and Literary Criticism. The power of style to shape our vision of the world and what it means to be human has far-reaching and profound cultural and ideological implications. Moving from these general premises, the eighth issue (2/2024) of the DIVE-IN journal invites contributions focusing on emerging styles that are still marginal and yet of central importance for the present cultural and geo-political context.
Topics of interest may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Emerging styles in specialized discourses, particularly in relation to the environmental crisis and Covid
- Inclusive stylistic choices in translation
- Style and Artificial Intelligence
- Stylistic innovations in literature as a form of counter-culture
- Recent and emerging styles in multimodal discourse
- Fake news and style
- Teaching emerging styles in their contexts of production and reception
ITALIANO:
È noto e oggetto di studi in un ampio spettro di discipline – dai cultural studies alla linguistica e alla critica letteraria – come lo stile di un artefatto culturale sia un elemento profondamente significativo che, col suo potere di tradurre in forma la nostra visione del mondo e dell’umano, porta con sé profonde implicazioni culturali e ideologiche. Partendo da questi presupposti generali, l'ottavo numero della rivista DIVE-IN (2/2024) invita contributi incentrati sullo studio di scelte stilistiche emergenti e ancora marginali attuate in risposta all’odierno contesto culturale e geo-politico.
Di seguito, un elenco (non esclusivo) dei possibili ambiti:
- Stili emergenti nei discorsi specialistici, con particolare riferimento alla crisi ambientale e alla fase pandemica
- Scelte stilistiche inclusive nei processi traduttivi
- Stile e intelligenza artificiale
- Innovazione stilistica in letteratura come elemento di controcultura
- Recenti evoluzioni stilistiche nel discorso multimediale
- Fake news e stile
- Insegnare stili emergenti nei loro contesti di produzione e ricezione
